Cake Poker Make Change to Full Ring Tables
June 25, 2009 | rakebackpoker.comCake Poker have recently made a change to their full ring tables making them 9 seats down from 10. This small change means that Cake Poker’s full ring tables now conform with what has become industry standard.
The biggest reason for this change is probably to do with the generation of rakeback. Cake Poker uses a dealt rakeback method, meaning that when $1 was raked from a pot at a ten seat table, each player would then receive 10 cents. However when there are only 9 seats at a table the rakeback would be closer to 11 cents for each player. The extra money generated will benefit both Cake Poker and their network partners and affiliates.
Changing the number of seats at Cake Poker is the first major change under new poker room manager Lee Jones. Lee Jones was previously a manager of Poker Stars and helped contribute to the massive growth of the site, so you expect something similar to happen at Cake Poker too in the coming future!
