The cream of the PokerStars crop have all been battling it out with Rakeback Poker Stars at the PCA in Bahamas. Online pros, old school pros and new school grinders have all been sunning it up, raising it up and 4 bet shoving for their lives in the PCA Main Event and PCA High Roller. Both of these tournaments now have winners and Rakeback Poker has a quick round up of all the action:
PCA Main Event:
For most of the tournament Chris Oliver was chip leader at the PCA almost going wire to wire before Galen Hall ended his incredible story. Oliver is a high school dropout who came fourth in last year’s Card Player Online Player of the Year race but was unable to put his opponent away after extending to a 4:1 chip lead. Hall made a great lay down when he rivered a straight and from there went on to pick up cards and hit flops at the right time to eventually claim the $2.3m first prize. Oliver went home with $1.8m for his runner-up performance.
PCA High Roller:
The PCA High Roller played down from twelve players to eventual champion Will Molson on Sunday but a cast of the very best players in the world stood in his way. With opponents like chip leader Jason Mercier, Tom Marchese, Erik Seidel and others Molson looked like he might be denied the PCA High Roller crown a third time running after coming twice in the previous two years. This time though nothing could stop him and he shipped the $1m first prize.
As the PCA draws to a close all eyes are now turning towards the Aussie Millions which is now just three events in and will see all the Full Tilt Pros looking to take home the Main Event in the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest tournament. Please note at Rakeback Poker we are unable to offer PokerStars Rakeback but do have some unbeatable rakeback deals.
