Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker Battle Round 3

Full Tilt Poker should take PokerStars recent obsession to compete with them as a massive compliment that they are close to stealing PokerStars crown as the World Biggest Poker Room.

PokerStars has definitely been the big stack bully this year trumping Full tilt on all their promotional efforts. One wonders if this is just PokerStars exerting a bit of industry muscle or are they feeling a little under pressure?

The Battle so far:

Round One: The Guinness Book of Records Attempt
Full Tilt called on their players to help them steal the record for the biggest online poker tournament from current record holders PokerStars and achieved 50,000 players. However PokerStars retained the title with 65,000 in the same weekend.

Round Two: Bonus

Last month Full Tilt Poker announced their “Biggest Bonus Ever” promotion and a few days after PokerStars announced their biggest bonus ever made!

Round Three: Poker TV Shows

Full Tilt are running promotions for players to win places on their new TV show Face the Ace making use of the Full Tilt Poker Team and what a surprise (Have you guessed it yet?) PokerStars announced they are planning a TV show that will have regular poker players from PokerStars face their pros. Like the Face the Ace deal, players will have to win one of their satellite events in the top 10 positions and PokerStars will then make a decision on which players will get the chance to play against some of the world’s best poker players.

We are only in August so let see what happens as the battle for the World’s favourite poker room hots up.
