Rakeback poker – Online Poker Player Papola Scoops $1m in One Week

WSOPOnline poker professional Jeffrey Papola has had a week to remember at the World Series of Poker. In the space of six days he has come second in Event #26, a $2,500 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max event and picked up the first place in Event #32, a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Six-Handed for his first bracelet and a combined prize pool of over $1m.

Papola is currently finishing his Law Degree at Pace University in White Plains New York and had to return after these two great results but not before talking to tournament officials about his great week:

“I was really depressed [after finishing second] despite getting the big payout. So, to come back and get here with a win feels amazing. I was the early chip leader and then I lost it when I was heads-up against Men. Then, I came back and even though I doubled Men up twice, I still managed to win. So, it feels amazing to come out with a win after that.”

There are few harder opponents heads up than Men Nguyen and with Erick Lindgren also at the final table Papola knew it would not be easy going in. He played near flawless poker throughout and even after allowing Men to double through twice he was still able to pick up the win and his first bracelet to go with the second place he had accomplished just a few days earlier – he better get over to play some rakeback poker.

Final Standings:

1. Jeffrey Papola – $667,433
2. Men Nguyen – $412,746
3. Mark Radoja – $262,902
4. Bruno Launais – $173,123
5. Orlando Delacruz – $117,595
6. Erick Lindgren – $82,303
