Caesars Cup Captains and Betfair Poker Make Their First Picks

The two captains have made their first picks to play at this year World Series of Poker Europe invitational event – the Caesars Cup and the writers from Betfair Poker have selected their own unofficial Americas squad.

Lately in Las Vegas for the WSOP 2009, Daniel Negreanu (Captain for the Americas) chose multiple bracelet winner Phil Ivey and Annette Obrestad (Captain for Team Europe) picked 2008 WSOP Main Event Winner Peter Eastgate as exact starters in their team. The event will see the best of the Americas take on the best of Europe with one place still to be decided online at Betfair Poker.

This year’s WSOPE will see four events, with the Caesars Cup invitational being held on the 25th September.

Over the upcoming weeks more team members will be announced with one place still up for grabs on Betfair Poker for the European Team.
