Aussie Millions Main Event and Cash Game

Rakeback Poker Aussie Millions UpdateThe preliminary days of the Aussie Millions are over and now it’s time for the big boys after three Day 1s, a whole load of action and more big name eliminations than you can shake a stick at. Rakeback Poker players can rest assured that we will be keeping you up to date with all that is going on over at the Crown Casino in Melbourne over the next few days as we look to replace Tyron Krost with a new Aussie Millions Main Event champion.

All Eyes Here:

Two titans of the game in Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius clashed towards the end of Day 2 in a hand that would effectively end the tournament for one of the players. Antonius raised in late position and Phil Ivey called from the big blind and the two saw the following flop:

This is where the action came as Antonius raised just under the pot before Ivey put in a 50,000 chips raise. Antonius thought for a while and made the move pushing all his chips into the middle. Ivey didn’t hang about and called turning over , top pair top kicker and the nut flush draw. Antonius then tabled the straight flush draw with his

Ivey was down to 13,000 chips which he promptly lost as a table mate rivered him for a flush to send him back towards the $250k buy in event taking place as Antonius rode towards the top of the chip stacks.

The Million Dollar Cash Game:

Whilst the Main Event and other events have been going on in the large tournament room, upstairs in a quieter more secluded area the biggest names of poker have been splashing the cash with a minimum $100,000 buy in for one of the hottest ring games you are every likely to see. Over two days the likes of Tom Dwan, Chris Ferguson, Sam Trickett, Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Andre Fedlman, David Oppenheim, David Benyamine and more have battled it out for some huge pots. In the final hour of the cash game Oppenheim picked up two pots worth $350,000 to finish as one of the top performers.
