Adrien Allain gets 78,000% ROI from PKR tournament fee after winning APT Macau

23 year old PKR player Adrien Allain earns his place in the record books after winning the 2009 Asian Poker Tour Macau.

The French online poker player, who plays online under the handle ‘zlatan35’, won his seat at the APT from a $5 lottery tournament on PKR.

Allain, who only recently turned professional, said: “I’m overwhelmed, this is so wonderful. I qualified for this tournament through a $5 lottery tournament on PKR and end up beating all these top players. Vive La France!”

The Internet poker ace collected the winner’s prize of $391 556 after an exciting heads up against Korean player Inwook Choi, who received $214 158. For second place.

To get there, Choi and Allain had to overcome a field of 326, a tough final table and a tense three-handed clash with veteran JC Tran, who ended up in third place.

For Allain it was a remarkable return on investment, too – he secured his seat through a $5 buy-in online satellite at PKR.com!

The young professional will deploy his expanded bankroll (his only previous online earnings are $8 000) to enter further major tournaments around the planet, promising some interesting action judging by his aggressive domination of the APT Macau final table.

Looks like he will definitely be joining PKR’s month of celebrations!
