Contributed Rake Method is a variation on MGR calculations that only divide the total rake taken in a hand by the number of players who have actually contributed to that rake, therefore if you were dealt cards, but decided to fold preflop, you will not be entitled to any of the rake taken out of that hand.

For example if the rake for a pot is $3 and there are six players, but only three players contributed, only they will get a portion of the rake

The $3 rake will be credited to the three players that stayed in the hand $1 per person.
